Same Old Magazine is NOT your typical indie start-up, half-ass zine project. It is a beautifully made, high quality book put together with skill, passion and a severe knowledge of skate history and culture. Made in the UK and imported overseas by TOA, these 94 page full color books are no joke and probably shouldn't be called a "mag" considering their size and quality. This issue is all over the place and features a heavy line-up of features. But in an effort to keep it exciting and surprising with each page we'll just mention some highlights: -A Sean Cliver interview -An article where Lance Mountain replies to a 22 year old fan letter -A Chicago Section -A letter from 1978, sent by Stacy Peralta to the South Coast pro James Davies -A 2001 letter from an incarcerated Jay Adams to Todd Huber -A collection of David Scott's photos from Venice Beach taken from 1977-1987 and so much more. Contributions from Lance Mountain, Damon Way, Koolmoeleo, Todd Huber (Skatelab), Tobin Yelland, Mike Blabac, Bobshirt, Miki Vuckovich, Kevin Wilkins, David Scott, Jürgen Blümlein (Skateboard Museum), Jacob Rosenburg, Ron Chatman, Jef Hartsel, Tim Hardy, Brian Lotti, Ed Loftus, Richard Hart, Chuck Hults, Richard Jay, Rick Ibesta, Ed Syder, Andy Jenkins, Steve Castle & Jon Westand the list goes on. This book was recommended by our good friends over at The Palomino in the UK and his exact words about this project were "Don't hesitate for a second. If you have any interest in skateboarding whatsoever, get yourself a copy instantly. It is as good as it gets."
